Translation & Interpretation

Skills for Change provides language support that helps newcomers access services in the language they are most comfortable with, and language instruction that builds the proficiency needed to navigate Canadian life and work.

Our pre-arrival language services include oral interpretation by phone, live, or over Zoom; written translation of materials and documents; and referrals to French-language service providers — including Le Guichet Unique for Francophone clients seeking fully French-language settlement and employment support. Once in Canada, learners can continue to LINC 4, an intermediate-to-advanced English language and settlement program funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

What We Offer

  • Oral Interpretation — phone, live, or Zoom-based interpretation for service appointments and program participation
  • Written Translation — translation of essential documents and program materials, including resumes, reference letters, and educational transcripts
  • French-Language Referrals — connections to Le Guichet Unique and other French-language service providers
  • LINC 4 — intermediate-to-advanced English language and settlement instruction (IRCC-funded)
